Every second, thousands of selfies are posted on social media networks – that’s billions of sel es a year. ‘Selfie’ is now in the dictionary and even has its own museum. Is this a reason to look down sel es? No, not at all. Let’s have a little fun with them.

That’s how we roll. It’s how we like it. In our collections and everything that makes us Maje, there is always a sense of liberation, openness and fun. Seeing the best in things and having fun with new trends and changes in our world. Perhaps, the only thing that never changes is being yourself.

So for the 2019 Autumn/Winter campaign, we wanted to ‘selfie up’ Maje. Usually you are taking the selfie but this time we’re behind the camera, It seems obvious but it is not natural. Going from one side of the camera to the other. Giving up control. Selfies are all about one thing – sharing. Under the direction of Kristin Lee Moolman- Lucan Gillespie, Manuela Sanchez, Maria Miguel and Crystal Zhang celebrate how we ‘stage’ and ‘perform’ our lives. What matters is not only how we see ourselves but what we choose to share with our friends and sisters – and the world.
